Job Type: Part Time, Permanent - 18.5 hours per week

An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) including the adult and children's barred list is required for this position.

We are seeking a Health Referral Practitioner who can motivate and encourage specialist populations to achieve improved health outcomes and personal wellbeing.

The Role

As an essential member of the Leisure World team, your role is responsible for prescribing suitable physical activity and supporting behaviour change for NHS patients and third sector referred users. The Health Referral Practitioner position will include setting up and undertaking group and individual training sessions along with general day to day operation of the Active Wellbeing (GP Referral) programme including referral processing, data processing and wider community wellbeing initiatives.

Qualifications and skills required

To be successful in this role, you will possess GP Referral Qualification – Level 3 REPs (or CIMSPA) recognised qualification or equivalent CIMSPA. We also hope that you have:

  • Specialist qualifications e.g., level 4 Pulmonary, Cardiac Phase IV, Lower Back Pain, but not essential.
  • Strong customer engagement, a good communicator with a genuine passion for Health and Wellness.
  • Strong business acumen, resilient and results driven with the ability to grow a personal training business whilst being a great team player, providing every client an outstanding user experience.
