We are seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to join our team based in Colchester. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial information while driving improvements in financial administration, business systems, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and improvement of business systems and processes
- Manage day‑to‑day accounts receivable & payable function, preparing management accounts with commentary, month‑end reconciliations, cashflow analysis and supporting the year‑end audit
- Produce accurate and insightful performance reports and analysis to support decision‑making
- Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth operational delivery and continuous improvement
- Forward scheduling company board meetings, risk register administration, managing FOI’s and data protection administration
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in business administration and financial processes
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce clear reports
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and business systems (e.g., CRM, finance software such as Xero)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Be able to forward schedule meetings, take minutes and ensuring compliance
Desirable Experience
- Experience working in one or more of the following sectors: Digital / Tech, Events Management, Social Care / Health & Wellbeing
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies
- Understanding of performance frameworks and KPIs
