Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) is looking for a passionate and driven Domestic Abuse Specialist Officer to help shape and deliver high-quality, victim-centred services. This is a unique opportunity to lead improvements in how we support victims and survivors of domestic abuse, working across services and partnerships to deliver better outcomes for victims and survivors.
About the Role
- Act as a specialist lead on domestic abuse across CBH and partner services
- Support victims and survivors to access the right support, sustaining tenancies and preventing homelessness
- Lead on the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and service improvements
- Work collaboratively with partners to deliver a coordinated, multi-agency response
- Contribute to achieving and maintaining DAHA accreditation
- Use insight and data to drive continuous improvement and better outcomes
You will also play a key role in shaping innovative approaches, including pilot work around economic abuse and financial resilience, ensuring our services meet both current needs and legislative requirements.
About You
- Has a strong understanding of domestic abuse, including coercive control and emerging issues
- Brings experience of working with victims/survivors and multi-agency partnerships
- Can influence, challenge, and work across services to improve outcomes
- Is confident using data and insight to drive service improvement
- Demonstrates resilience, emotional intelligence, and a strong commitment to safeguarding and equality
