About Us
At Colchester Accident Repairs LTD we are a proud, family-run independent accident repair specialist with over 40 years of keeping our local community moving. We pride ourselves on doing things the right way: high standards of work, a supportive team environment, and treating our staff like people, not numbers.
The Role
As our Parts Advisor, you will be the backbone of our repair operations. You'll ensure our technicians have the right parts at the right time, keeping job flow smooth and repair times fast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing, ordering, and receiving parts for a wide variety of vehicle makes and models.
- Working closely with technicians and estimators to identify required parts accurately.
- Checking in deliveries, verifying orders against invoices, and managing inventory/stock control.
- Handling returns, credit notes, and returning unused or incorrect parts promptly.
- Liaising with external parts suppliers to negotiate best pricing and delivery times.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe parts department/stores area.
About You
We're looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and easy to get along with.
What we're looking for:
- Experience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor within a Bodyshop, dealership, or motor factor environment ideally but not essential - we are happy to provide training for the right candidate.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Bodyshop management systems such as Autoflow and Audatex would be preferable but not a deal breaker.
- Skills: Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail - getting the right part the first time matters!
- Communication: Great team player who communicates clearly with workshop staff and suppliers.
- Driving License: Full clean UK Driving License required.
Why Join Our Team?
- Great Culture: Friendly, supportive, and stress-free environment compared to big corporate Bodyshop groups.
- Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday hours, 22 days holiday.
- Competitive Pay: Based on experience, workplace pension.
- Job Security: Consistent workflow and a stable, long-standing business.
