About Us: At Colchester Accident Repairs LTD we are a proud, family-run independent accident repair specialist with over 40 years of keeping our local community moving. We pride ourselves on doing things the right way: high standards of work, a supportive team environment, and treating our staff like people, not numbers. You’ll be the face and voice of our business, working alongside a supportive team that genuinely cares about the work we do.
The Role: We are looking for a welcoming, organized, and dependable receptionist to keep our front office running smoothly. When customers come to us, it’s often after a stressful accident. Your main job is to put them at ease, guide them through the repair/claim process, and ensure they leave with a smile knowing they are in good hands whilst the repairs to their vehicle are carried out.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcoming Visitors: Greeting customers with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Customer Communication: Answering phone and email inquiries, taking messages, and giving customers clear, reassuring updates on their vehicles' repair progress.
- Administrative Support: Booking in vehicles, processing payments, handling basic invoicing, and keeping customer records up to date.
- Courtesy Car Management: Handing over and checking in loan cars, ensuring paperwork and licenses are verified.
- Team Coordination: Working closely with our workshop manager and technicians so everyone is on the same page.
Who We’re Looking For:
- People Skills: Excellent phone manner and an empathetic, patient approach to customer service.
- Organization: Great attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a steady-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using basic computer systems and email. Training on our specific Bodyshop software will be provided.
- Team Player: Willing to pitch in and help the team wherever needed.
- Driving License: Full clean UK Driving License required.
Why Join Our Team?
- Great Culture: Friendly, supportive, and stress-free environment compared to big corporate Bodyshop groups.
- Work-Life Balance: Monday to Friday hours, 22 days holiday.
- Competitive Pay: Based on experience, workplace pension.
