We are looking for an organised and proactive HR Assistant to undertake key HR administration processes within our Colby River and Dandara Living Development divisions. Based in Altrincham, this role will provide efficient and accurate administrative support to both areas of the business, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered across the employee lifecycle. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in HR, gaining exposure to employee relations, recruitment, and HR processes within a fast-paced, operational environment.
What You Will Do
- Provide administrative support across all areas of HR, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee record management
- Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality at all times
- Support recruitment activities, including advertising roles, coordinating interviews, and issuing offer documentation
- Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters, and other HR documentation
- Assist with absence management processes, including tracking and reporting data
- Support the HR team with employee relations processes, including note-taking in meetings where required
- Respond to first-line HR queries from employees and managers, escalating where appropriate
- Assist with payroll processes, including gathering and validating relevant data
- Support learning and development activities and maintain training records
- Assist with organisational changes and TUPE processes, including preparation of employee data and documentation
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and support compliance requirements
- Prepare HR Board packs detailing key HR analytics ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality at all times
What You Will Have
- Previous experience in an administrative role (HR experience desirable but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to learn and develop a career in HR
Desirable
- Previous experience within HR or working towards a CIPD qualification
- Experience in property management, construction, housebuilding, and/or a multi-site environment
- Familiarity with HR systems
- Practical application of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT) within administrative processes to drive efficiency, enhance decision-making, and introduce forward-thinking operational improvements
What We Will Offer You
£28-33,000 negotiable on experience. Discretionary bonus scheme. 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).
