Our client is looking for an experienced Highways Project Manager. Must have experience delivering capital maintenance projects and understand the project lifecycle of low-medium complexity highway maintenance projects.
Must have at least 5 years' experience working in Highways & Transport in a similar role for a public sector organisation. Must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for site visits.
Helpful if candidates have project management and design experience related to the delivery of highway maintenance projects.
Evidence of continued personal/professional development is required.
Desirable:
- A relevant professional membership e.g. Chartered/Incorporated Engineer
- A relevant Management qualification
Knowledge and Experience:
- A proven track record in leading the development, planning and implementation of transport infrastructure and related projects
- Extensive programme/project management experience with a reputation for delivery
- Extensive knowledge of technical and contractual requirements relating to scheme development, construction and maintenance
- Experience in budget management (including local government finance)
