Our client is looking for an experienced Communications Officer. This is a hybrid role, requiring 2 days per week on site, with some travel to attend events. Ideally, candidates should have a marketing or CIPR qualification.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading key council communication campaigns
  • Developing proactive media relations to showcase Council services and projects
  • Handling media issues
  • Campaign evaluation
  • Organising and running press and promotional events
  • Supporting the wider communications team to achieve its goals

We are looking for someone who is skilled in media relations, a creative thinker, and experienced in developing and delivering compelling communication campaigns. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the best communication teams in local government.

You will become an important part of our talented communications team, building relationships with colleagues in Environment & Communities and often working closely with elected members.
