Assistant Legal Counsel Contract Support Egham Contract 3 days per week (21 hours) 350 per day PAYE or 462.40 per day limited paid via umbrella company inside IR35.

Our client is looking for an experienced Assistant Legal Counsel Contract Support.

Essential Requirements/Info:

  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 1 year Post-Qualified Experience, gained within general commercial contract law.

Work pattern:

  • 3 days/21 hours per week, fixed term for two months, 1 day per week (Wednesday day is non-negotiable) in office with Legal team.

To provide practical contract support to the Legal and Compliance team, assisting with the preparation, review, administration and coordination of contracts. The role will support Legal and Compliance staff to ensure contracts are managed efficiently, consistently, and in line with university policies and procedures.

Key Tasks:

  • To draft, review and negotiate a range of contracts across different departments within the university including procurement, partnerships and estates.
  • To advise on the risks associated with draft contract terms, options available and to lead on contract negotiations as required.
  • Maintain accurate contract records and register of the agreements.
  • Liaise with academic, professional services to assist in the contract process.
