Emergency Planning Manager Sutton Contract £30.71 per hour PAYE Our client is looking for an experienced Emergency Planning Manager. The Emergency Planning Manager is responsible for the Council’s preparedness, response and recovery arrangements under the Civil Contingencies Act. The postholder will act as the Council’s resilience subject matter expert. The role includes responsibility for the event safety process, and business continuity. Thorough understanding of the legislation, associated guidance and industry standards relevant to emergency planning or business continuity in a local authority context (essential). ● Relevant experience working in emergency planning (essential). ● Knowledge of how to effectively prepare for, respond to, and recover from, internal and external emergencies for a local authority (essential). ● Ability to work with and provide support to colleagues and partners at a range of levels, including identifying training needs and the ability to present issues effectively (essential). ● Good interpersonal skills in order to build sound working relationships with key stakeholders and partners (essential). ● Ability to challenge and critically evaluate information and data, considering the bigger picture and wider implications to the service, Council, borough and where relevant London/UK (essential). ● Experience of multi-agency partnership working and achieving shared aims PLEASE ONLY apply if you have the necessary skills, experience and expertise.
