Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Business Support Officer. Children's Services Contract and Commissioning team require a Senior Business Support Officer (Grade 4) in the Alternative Provision Service to support arranging a wide range of educational and social care placements as well as financial processing for all contracts.
Ideal candidate will be an experienced Business Support Officer with good financial administration knowledge and experience in using SAP. Ideally they will have previously worked in Commissioning.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Arrange a wide range of educational and social care placements and support for young people including school provision, alternative education, tuition, residential placements, and online education.
- Support the finance aspects of contracts including raising limit orders, checking/processing of invoices using the SAP financial management system, processing uplifts, and dealing with enquiries from suppliers. The Business Support Officer would also consult with LCC finance, procurement, and other departments to ensure all financial processes and record keeping adhere to commissioning standing orders and audit requirements.
- Support the creation, monitoring and reporting of placement and contract management data using relevant systems including Capita and Liquid Logic relating to the commissioning process including risk registers, concern logs, attendance data, engagement reports, progress reports, Ofsted notifications and contract key performance indicators.
- To assist the Contract and Commissioning Managers with aspects of the commissioning process, including follow up actions, quality assurance processes, preparation of specifications, recording minutes of meetings and report writing.
3-6 month initial placement, 3 days per week minimum on site in Cunard Building, Liverpool Waterfront.
