As a permanent Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will join a valued team in our Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. The role will support the Engineering department with maintenance and repair of all Electrical/Control equipment within the products production unit and comply with all Health and Safety policies.

Main Responsibilities

  • Examine structures and equipment within buildings or plant and report defects.
  • Carry out legislative checks and keep records.
  • Supervise attendees for scheduled servicing of equipment and breakdowns.
  • Maintain electrical equipment, assemble electrical systems, deal with production breakdowns, manage plant modifications, and perform instrumentation calibrations.
  • Use logical problem-solving techniques to find the root cause and rectify issues.
  • Work with equipment such as a pedestal drill machine, grinders, welding equipment, and portable powered hand tools.
  • Assist with the repair of all mechanical equipment across the products business when required.

Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a similar role or have a Certificate of Technical Education in the field (level 3 up). You will be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, and have an understanding of PLC and controlled equipment.
