As a train driver, you will have the opportunity to work on various locomotives: from our class 37s to state of art class 70s. You will be a key player to run our Freight services in the LNE region. You will be empowered to ensure a safe and reliable service operation of freight trains as a role model Train Driver offering a best in class service.
Person Specification: You Will Have:
- Train Driver Experience with LNE, ECML and/or North Eastern route knowledge
- Ensure safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains.
- A clean safety record
- A current PTS (third rail) appropriate to CTRL
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility with working shift patterns.
- Ability to identify competency standards required as a result of legislation, operational standards and safety procedures and maintain same by audit and surveillance.
Key Responsibilities: In your role, you will work with rostering and training teams, driver standards managers, delivery managers, and staff at all levels so that freight services could run safely, and on time.
