Purpose of the Role: This role is ideal for a P-Way Engineer looking to develop their career further working on varied track focus portfolio including S&C, Plain Line, Drainage, Level Crossings and Re-Rail projects. The expectation is the engineer will work closely within a delivery team supporting the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of rail renewal projects. Open to applicants with a range of track P-Way Engineer experience. It is imperative the individual is wanting to learn and demonstrate strong leadership and excellent team working behaviours.
Person Specification: A minimum of 2 years’ track renewals P-Way Engineer experience including specific skills:
- 2D and 3D (Total Station) excavation and base stone control
- GEDO experience (desirable)
- Tamping Plain Line
- Tamping S&C (desirable)
- Stressing Levels 1 to 3
- CRT Management awareness
- Surveying experience (desirable)
- Hold or previously held COSS competency (desirable)
- A strong commitment to career progression
- A full UK driving licence
- Flexibility to work shift patterns as required
Key Responsibilities:
- Promoting and maintaining high safety standards
- Assisting with planning and coordination of site activities
- Responsible for all P-Way engineering delivery stages from site survey to project Taking Over Certificate (TOC) completion.
- Working efficiently and in unison within a multi disciplined team.
- As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.
- Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time
