Reports to: Global Brand Director, Winsor & Newton
About Winsor & Newton: Since 1832, Winsor & Newton has blended artistic insight with scientific expertise to create high-quality art materials that transform how people make art. Our purpose is simple: to help artists everywhere feel in colour. With thousands of SKUs and a rich heritage, we continue to innovate and inspire creativity worldwide.
Your Role as Global Head of Product Marketing: You will be the strategic engine behind Winsor & Newton’s global portfolio - translating insight into action, shaping our five-year roadmap and building an innovation and renovation pipeline that keeps the brand culturally relevant and commercially strong. Leading a team of four, you’ll work cross-functionally to move ideas from early insight through to seamless global execution, partnering closely with Sustainability & Innovation, Operations and Markets.
We’re looking for someone who thinks both like an artist and a scientist: instinctive about the creative process, but rigorous in how they turn complexity into clear decisions. You’ll spot emergent behaviours, decode competitive shifts and make confident portfolio choices - driving margin through renovation, unlocking demand through innovation and strengthening competitiveness through sharper propositions and messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor consumer behaviour, competitor activity and customer needs to generate actionable insight.
- Shape the brand’s five-year strategic roadmap and annual brand plan.
- Lead development of the innovation and renovation pipeline, optimising the global product portfolio.
- Set messaging standards and oversee packaging and shopper marketing tools.
- Build strong relationships with local markets to champion best practice and growth opportunities.
- Coach and inspire a team of four, fostering creativity, accountability and high performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree or equivalent
- Proven experience in brand management with a strong focus on innovation and portfolio management.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Financial and analytical skills, with experience collaborating cross-functionally.
- Must be able to demonstrate: strategic thinking and vision; consumer-centric mindset; people leadership and capability building.
- Desirable: proficiency in a second language and a personal interest in art or creative background.
