Working alongside experienced Groundworkers, Foremen, Engineers and Site Managers, you'll gain hands-on experience on live construction projects across London and the South East while receiving structured training and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

The Role: As a Groundworker Apprentice, you will work towards becoming a qualified Groundworker while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required within the construction industry.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working towards the Groundworker Apprenticeship Standard.
  • Assisting with drainage, foundations, concrete works, kerbing, paving and external works.
  • Learning to read construction drawings and use site measurements.
  • Safely using hand tools and equipment under supervision.
  • Supporting site teams with daily construction activities.
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.
  • Completing apprenticeship coursework and assessments.

Your Apprenticeship: Your apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with NHBC through a block release programme. You'll spend most of your time gaining practical experience on site, with scheduled periods attending the training centre to complete practical and classroom-based learning.
