ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for skilled Carpenters to join our RC frame team on a busy project in Woolwich. This role will be focused exclusively on the construction of RC cores, including lift shafts, stair cores and associated vertical structures. Operatives will be working solely on this aspect of the RC frame package as part of a well-organised site team, delivering safe, high-quality concrete frame construction.
We have long-term work available, 10 hours paid per day, and competitive rates for suitable candidates.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Confident and skilled in the construction of RC cores, including lift shafts, stair cores, walls and vertical structures
- Working with traditional and proprietary formwork systems, including aluminium beam decking systems, panel decking systems and Peri Trio shutters where required
- Reading and interpreting drawings to ensure accurate construction of core structures
- Maintaining a safe working environment and following all site safety protocols
- Working as part of a gang to support programme delivery and project deadlines
REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS Blue Formwork / Carpentry Card
- Proven experience working on RC frame core construction
- Confident in all aspects of formwork carpentry relating to cores, walls and vertical concrete structures
- Able to read and interpret drawings
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- 5+ years of formwork carpentry experience
- Experience working on high-rise RC frame core projects
- Harness Awareness Certification
- IPAF / PASMA / CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) / MEWP Qualifications
- Face Fit Certification
- Working at Heights Ticket
PLEASE NOTE
To meet client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram.
