ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for reliable Topman / Groundworker with Dumper Ticket to join our groundwork and RC frame teams on a busy project in Sittingbourne. You will support a range of general groundworks activities, helping deliver safe and high-quality projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting drainage and excavation gangs as a Topman
- Directing and assisting operatives working within excavations and trenches
- Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper to safely transport materials around site
- Assisting with drainage, ducting and associated groundwork activitie
- Banking plant and maintaining clear communication with machine operator
- Carrying out daily pre-start checks on the dumper and reporting any defects
- Ensuring excavations remain safe, tidy and compliant with site procedures
- Working closely with the Foreman and site team to support programme delivery
REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS card with previous Topman, Groundworks or Civil Engineering experience
- Valid CPCS / NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper ticket – ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience working as a Topman on drainage, utilities, civils or groundwork projects
- Understanding of excavation safety and safe systems of work
- Confident working around plant and within active construction environments
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- CPCS/NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper and/or Ride-On Roller
- CAT & Genny ticket
- Safety Critical Medical
