We are looking for experienced Groundwork Handymen to join our team on a busy residential project in Sittingbourne. This role will focus on finishing and external works, including slabbing, kerbing, garden preparation and general external groundworks. Applicants should be competent operating a Forward Tipping Dumper and capable of working efficiently as part of an established site team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Laying and finishing paving slabs to required specifications
- Installing kerbs, edgings and other hard landscaping features
- Garden and plot preparation, including topsoiling and finishing works
- Assisting with pathways, driveways and external finishes
- Operating a Forward Tipping Dumper safely and effectively
- Carrying out groundwork and handyman duties as required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working from drawings and site instruction to achieve programme targets
- Carrying out daily plant and equipment safety checks
- Supporting the wider site team with general external works
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid CSCS Card
- CPCS or NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper ticket
- Previous experience in finishing groundworks and external works
- Experience with slabbing, kerbing and garden preparation
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
- Good understanding of site health and safety requirements
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- CPCS / NPORS Ride-On Roller
- Landscaping or hard landscaping experience
- Abrasive Wheels Training
- Face Fit Certification
- Harness Awareness Certification
- 3+ years' experience in residential finishing groundworks
- Experience working on large residential developments
