We are looking for experienced Pipelayers to join our groundwork teams on sites across Sittingbourne. You will play a key role in the installation of drainage systems and underground pipework, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Laying and installing drainage pipes (clay, plastic and concrete)
  • Setting out and working to levels and falls from drawings and laser equipment
  • Installing manholes, chambers and associated drainage structures
  • Benching, concreting and surrounding pipework
  • Carrying out deep drainage and trench work
  • Ensuring correct alignment and gradient of pipelines
  • Working closely with machine operators and groundwork teams
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications
  • Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CSCS Skilled Worker Blue Card (essential)
  • Proven experience as a Pipelayer in drainage and groundworks
  • Strong understanding of drainage systems, levels and gradients
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Good awareness of site health & safety practices
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE:

  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) tickets
  • Confined Spaces Training
  • Deep drainage experience
  • Experience working with laser levels
  • Dumper / Roller / Excavator tickets
  • 5–10+ years of groundwork or pipelaying experience
  • Established gangs or teams with proven ability to work together
