We are looking for an experienced Skilled Groundworker to join our teams on major external works and finishing projects in Kent. The role involves carrying out high-quality finishing works including slabs, kerbs, and edgings while maintaining excellent standards of safety, productivity, and workmanship. Candidates must be qualified and experienced in operating Forward Tipping Dumpers within active construction environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out finishing groundwork activities including slab laying, kerbing, edgings, paving, and external finishing works
- Preparing and laying foundations, bedding materials, and concrete for finishing works
- Operating Forward Tipping Dumpers safely and efficiently around active work areas
- Supporting site teams and supervisors to maintain productivity and programme targets
- Using hand tools, small plant, and groundwork equipment safely and effectively
- Reading and working from drawings, levels, and site instructions
- Ensuring all finishing works are completed to a high standard and specification
- Maintaining safe, clean, and organised working areas at all times
- Following all site health & safety procedures and reporting hazards where required
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in finishing groundwork including slabs, kerbs, edgings, and paving
- CPCS / NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper qualification
- Valid CSCS Card
- Ability to work from drawings and levels
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within site teams
- Strong awareness of health & safety standards
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- Experience on large external works and infrastructure projects
- CPCS / NPORS Ride-On Roller
- CPCS / NPORS 360 Excavator Above & Below 10T
- 5+ yearsβ groundwork experience
