ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our groundwork teams on a busy project in Kent.
You will operate an 8t 360 tracked excavators across a variety of groundwork and drainage tasks, maintaining the highest standards of safety and plant care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operating an 8T 360 tracked excavator safely and efficiently
- Carrying out scaffold mat and driveway formation works as part of an established gang
- Preparing and forming driveways, access routes and hardstanding areas
- Working alongside Groundworkers, Site Engineers, Dumper Operators and other plant operators to achieve the required formation levels
- Digging trenches and carrying out general groundwork activities where required
- Lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes and trench sheets where required
- Experienced working around live services and in service avoidance techniques
- Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Carrying out essential greasing and basic maintenance, keeping machines clean and tidy
REQUIREMENTS
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) 360 Excavator +/- 10t Tracked*
- Proven experience operating an 8T excavator
- CPCS Lifting Ops / NPORS* Excavator as Crane
- Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- GPS machine control experience
- CPCS / NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
- CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
- CPCS / NPORS* Telehandler
- CPCS / NPORS* Quick Hitch Attachment
- 5+ years of experience
* Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement, please still get in touch – we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
