We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Highways and Infrastructure to lead the successful delivery of a highways infrastructure project in Bristol. You will hold full responsibility for programme, cost, quality, and health & safety, ensuring efficient delivery of highways and associated works while maintaining strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full ownership of delivering transportation infrastructure projects safely, on programme, and within budget
- Lead and coordinate site teams, including Site Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, and Foremen
- Oversee delivery of highways, roads, drainage, and associated utility works
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholders
- Chair progress meetings and provide clear, accurate reporting to senior leadership
- Plan and manage subcontractors, labour, plant, and materials in line with programme requirements
- Work closely with the commercial team to manage variations, valuations, and overall cost control
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, particularly within live traffic environments
- Monitor programme performance and proactively manage risks, delays, and logistical challenges
- Drive efficient delivery in line with traffic management constraints and public interface requirements
