We are looking for experienced and skilled Groundworkers to join our Scaffold Mats & Driveways teams on busy projects. The role will involve carrying out all aspects of groundwork operations associated with scaffold mat installations, driveway preparation, kerbing, sub-base works, and finishing works to help deliver safe and high-quality projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out scaffold mat and driveway groundwork operations to drawings and site levels
- Preparing groundworks for scaffold mat installations including excavation, levelling, and sub-base preparation
- Installing and maintaining scaffold mat bases to ensure safe access and working platforms
- Assisting with driveway construction including edging, kerbing, stone placement, and surfacing preparation
- Carrying out trenching, stone trimming, backfilling, and reinstatement works where required
- Concreting and finishing works associated with driveway and access installations
- Reading and working from drawings, laser levels, and site instructions
- Assisting plant operators and banking machines where required
- Maintaining safe, clean, and organised work areas in line with site requirements
- Working effectively as part of a groundwork gang to meet programme targets and productivity
REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS Skilled Groundworker card or equivalent
- Proven experience in groundwork operations, including scaffold mat and driveway works
- Ability to read drawings and work accurately to levels
- Experience with sub-base preparation, kerbing, edging, and finishing works
- Strong understanding of site safety procedures and safe working practices
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a gang environment
- Right to work in the UK

- CPCS / NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper
- CPCS / NPORS Ride-On Roller
- Safety Critical Medical
- Experience on large-scale residential or commercial groundwork projects
