ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for experienced External Finishers (Temporary) to join our teams on a busy project in Lower Herne. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality external works, ensuring all finishing aspects of groundwork and infrastructure packages are completed to specification, on time, and to an excellent standard.
Duration 2 weeks
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carrying out external finishing works including kerbs, edgings, paving, slabs, and concrete surfaces
- Ensuring all external finishes are completed accurately to line, level, and specification
- Completing snagging works and conducting final quality checks on external packages
- Installing, adjusting, and finishing manholes, covers, and frames
- Trowelling, patching, and making good concrete and finished surfaces
- Working from drawings and specifications to achieve high-quality finishes
- Supporting site teams to bring external works to completion
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area
- Following all site health & safety procedures at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Proven experience as an External Finisher within groundworks or construction projects
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings
- Good understanding of levels, alignment, and finishing standards
- Strong awareness of site health & safety
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE:
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) tickets*
- Experience in kerbing, paving and external finishing works
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques
- Experience using laser levels or setting out equipment
- Dumper / Roller / Excavator tickets
- 5+ years of experience in groundworks or finishing roles
- Established gangs or teams with a strong track record
