We are seeking experienced Groundworkers for our Hailsham site, working on internal drainage and external finishing works. The role involves supporting drainage installation and completing finishing works such as slabs, kerbs, and edgings to a high standard, while maintaining strong focus on safety and productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with and carrying out internal drainage installation and associated works
  • Supporting drainage connections, adjustments, and remedial works within plots
  • Carrying out finishing works including slabs, kerbs, edgings, and reinstatement
  • Preparing ground, sub-bases, and materials for finishing operations
  • Working from site instructions, levels, and basic drawings where required
  • Supporting skilled operatives and site teams to maintain progress
  • Maintaining safe, clean, and tidy working areas at all times
  • Following all health & safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly
  • Working safely around plant, excavations, and ongoing construction activity

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in groundworks (drainage and/or finishing works preferred)
  • Experience on construction or housing sites
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Good awareness of site health & safety
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking attitude
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

  • Experience with slab laying, kerbing, and edging
  • Experience in internal drainage works
  • Safety Critical Medical (site dependent)
  • Plant tickets (dumper/roller) advantageous
