Join Coinford, specialists in groundworks and concrete frames, delivering high-quality residential and infrastructure projects. We are looking for experienced Drainage & Services Operatives who are confident operating dumpers and rollers and are happy to support hands-on drainage and services works on site. This role suits operatives who understand site flow, safe plant operation, and quality drainage installation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out internal and external drainage works to specification, including:
- Assisting with pipe laying, bedding, and surround
- Working from site stacks and drawings
- Assist with installation of underground services, working safely around live services
- Operate dumpers and rollers safely and efficiently to support site operations
- Bank and work alongside 360 excavators and other plant
- Read and interpret drawings, levels, and site information
- Complete daily pre-start checks and basic maintenance on plant (dumpers / rollers)
- Ensure trenches, backfilling, and reinstatement works are completed safely and correctly
- Maintain safe and productive working areas
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in drainage and services groundworks
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Dumper & Roller tickets
- Good understanding of working around live services and service avoidance
- Strong awareness of health & safety and site standards
- Reliable, proactive, and able to manage time effectively
Desirable:
- Additional CPCS/NPORS tickets
- 5+ years' experience in groundworks or drainage
- Experience working as part of a gang or established site team
General Expectations:
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work well with site management, other trades, and operatives
- Support programme delivery and site productivity
- Right to work in the UK
