The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We are looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our groundwork and RC frame teams on a busy project in Greenwich. This role will involve a mix of pile cap works and precast culvert installation, supporting safe and high-quality delivery across key civils packages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out general groundworks including digging, backfilling and concreting
  • Work on pile caps, including breaking/cutting piles, preparing formations and installing systems (e.g. Cordek)
  • Assist with precast culvert installation, including:
    • Hand digging around live services
    • Placing semidry concrete and haunching
    • Laying terram / geotextiles
    • Compaction of Type 1
  • Carry out basic drainage and ducting works as directed by the Foreman
  • Assist plant operators and bank 360 machines and dumpers
  • Support externals where required (slabs, kerbs, edgings)
  • Work safely around live services and confined work areas
  • Maintain a safe, tidy and compliant work environment
  • Work effectively as part of a gang to meet programme deadlines

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid CSCS Groundworker card (or equivalent) with proven civils experience
  • Demonstrable experience in concrete, drainage and structural groundworks
  • Experience working on pile caps, RC works, or drainage/culvert installation
  • Confident working around live services (hand digging required)
  • Able to read drawings, follow levels and work from supervisor instructions
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

  • CPCS/NPORS – Forward Tipping Dumper and/or Ride-On Roller
  • CAT & Genny
  • Safety Critical Medical
