We are looking for experienced External Finishers to join our teams on busy construction projects across Dover. You will be a skilled finisher with strong experience in external works, responsible for delivering high-quality finishes to roads, footpaths, plots and surrounding areas. You will work as part of an established team to ensure all external works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required specification.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out external finishing works across construction sites and developments
  • Installing kerbs, edgings and channels to correct lines, levels and falls
  • Laying paving slabs, block paving and other external surfacing materials
  • Preparing ground and sub-bases prior to laying external finishes
  • Setting levels and falls using laser levels and other relevant equipment
  • Cutting and fitting paving, kerbs and other materials accurately
  • Carrying out remedial and snagging works to a high standard
  • Ensuring external works are completed to drawings, specifications and site requirements
  • Maintaining clean, tidy and safe working areas
  • Working safely around live services and following correct service avoidance procedures
  • Carrying out daily pre-start plant and equipment safety checks
  • Working effectively alongside groundworkers, machine operators and other site trades

REQUIREMENTS

  • CSCS Groundworker card
  • Proven experience in external finishing and hard landscaping works
  • Strong knowledge of kerbing, edgings, paving and external finishes
  • Able to read and work from drawings and specifications
  • Confident using laser levels and setting out external works
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper
  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Ride-On Roller
  • Abrasive Wheels Training
  • Face Fit Certification
  • Harness Awareness Certification
  • CAT & Genny Training
  • 5–10+ years of skilled external works / groundworks experience
  • Experience working as part of an established finishing or groundwork gang highly desirable
