We are looking for reliable General Labourers to support our groundwork teams on sites across Woolwich. You will assist tradespeople across a variety of site tasks including groundworks, concrete operations, and breaking out piles, while keeping work areas safe and materials well stocked to support programme delivery.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting tradespeople with material handling, site preparation, and general maintenance tasks
  • Supporting concrete works, including pouring, moving materials, and finishing support
  • Assisting with breaking out piles and heavy-duty groundwork activities
  • Replenishing materials and maintaining clean, safe site conditions
  • Ensuring safe access routes are maintained at all times
  • Working safely around live services and following health & safety protocols
  • Carrying out daily pre-start safety checks on tools and equipment
  • Reporting maintenance requirements to site management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CSCS Labourer card or GQA Labourer with relevant experience
  • Experience supporting groundworks, concrete works, or heavy site activities (e.g. breaking out piles)
  • Strong understanding of general labouring tasks on construction sites
  • Proactive with good time management skills
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE:

  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated)
  • CPCS / NPORS CAT & Genny Training
  • Safety Critical Medical
  • Experience in concrete works, drainage, or piling environments
  • 1–2+ years of construction labouring experience
