Role Overview
We are looking for experienced Skilled Groundworkers to join our teams on a busy project in Devonport House. You will be a skilled all-rounder capable across pipelaying & deep drainage working within an established gang to deliver high-quality groundworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting up and using trench boxes, drag boxes, manhole boxes and pipe lasers
- Laying concrete, clay and plastic pipes (all sizes) to correct bed, surround and levels
- Ensuring pipes are tested and laid correctly throughout
- Managing groundwater and setting up the correct pump for the taskEnsuring correct backfilling of trenches
- Benching of all manholes
- External works including kerbs, edgings, slabs and block paving
- Working safely around live services using correct service avoidance techniques
- Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections
Requirements
- CSCS Groundworker card or similar qualification
- Confined Space ticket
- Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
- CAT & Genny Training
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper*
- CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
- Abrasive Wheels Training
- Face Fit Certification
- Harness Awareness Certification
- 5-10+ years of skilled groundworks experience
- Experienced working gangs / teams highly sought after
- Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement, please still get in touch - we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
