Overview
Skilled Groundworker Internals, Externals & Finishing Works. Bonus: Dumper or Roller Ticket. Join Coinford, specialists in groundworks and concrete frames. We are looking for skilled groundworkers to join our growing team and support long-term projects across our sites.
Role Requirements (Essential)
- Skilled in internal and external groundworks, including finishing works
- Able to read and work from drawings and site documentation
- Competent in setting up and using trench boxes, drag boxes and manhole boxes
- Confident using pipe lasers
- Experience laying concrete, clay and plastic pipes of all sizes, including correct bedding, surround and testing
- Able to manage groundwater, including selecting and setting up pumps
- Knowledge of correct backfilling techniques
- Experience with manhole benching
- Confident working around live services and applying service avoidance techniques
- Skilled in external works: kerbs, edgings, slabs and block paving
- Strong understanding of materials used in drainage, road build-up, formation and external works
- Able to complete daily plant checks and report any issues to site management
Desirable
- CPCS/NPORS tickets (dumper or roller highly desirable)
- 5+ years experience in skilled groundworks
- Experience working as part of an established gang or team

- Able to work well with other trades and support programme delivery
- Right to work in the UK
