At Coinford, we specialise in groundwork and concrete frames, delivering large-scale projects across the UK. We are looking for skilled drainage professionals to join our growing team and help us set new standards in construction. What Youll Do
- Read and interpret technical drawings and site documentation
- Set up and use trench boxes, drag boxes, and manhole boxes safely
- Install drainage accurately using pipe lasers
- Lay concrete, clay, and plastic pipes of all sizes with correct bedding, surrounds, and full testing
- Manage groundwater effectively, including pump selection and setup
- Backfill trenches and bench manholes to specification and high standards
- Work safely around live services, applying service-avoidance techniques
- Deliver external works including kerbs, edgings, slabs, and block paving
- Apply knowledge of underground drainage, road construction, kerbing, slab laying, and external works
- Carry out daily plant safety inspections and maintenance checks, reporting requirements to site management
What Were Looking For
- CSCS Skilled Worker card (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in deep drainage with strong technical ability
- Ability to work efficiently within drainage gangs or as part of a wider groundworks team
- Skilled in handling drainage materials, tools, and equipment
Desirable Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience in groundworks and deep drainage
- CPCS/NPORS tickets (Telehandlers, Dumpers, Rollers)
- Experience leading or working within drainage gangs/teams
