We are looking for experienced Pipelayers to join our groundwork teams on sites across Sittingbourne. You will play a key role in the installation of drainage systems and underground pipework, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Laying and installing drainage pipes (clay, plastic and concrete)
- Setting out and working to levels and falls from drawings and laser equipment
- Installing manholes, chambers and associated drainage structures
- Benching, concreting and surrounding pipework
- Carrying out deep drainage and trench work
- Ensuring correct alignment and gradient of pipelines
- Working closely with machine operators and groundwork teams
- Reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Requirements
- CSCS Skilled Worker Blue Card (essential)
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer in drainage and groundworks
- Strong understanding of drainage systems, levels and gradients
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good awareness of site health & safety practices
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) tickets
- Confined Spaces Training
- Deep drainage experience
- Experience working with laser levels
- Dumper / Roller / Excavator tickets
- 5-10+ years of groundwork or pipelaying experience
- Established gangs or teams with proven ability to work together
