We’re looking for a proactive Gateman with a strong logistics mindset to manage site access while supporting the day-to-day coordination of deliveries and materials on a busy construction site. This is more than a standard gateman position — you’ll be a key part of site operations, controlling access while working closely with the foreman to manage deliveries, materials, and site logistics efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Control site access, checking ID, credentials, and maintaining site security
- Manage entry and exit of vehicles, plant, and deliveries safely and efficiently
- Coordinate daily deliveries, liaising with the foreman on locations and priorities
- Direct vehicles and traffic on-site (traffic marshalling)
- Monitor and manage materials coming in and out of site, checking delivery tickets
- Support with organising and storing materials safely on-site
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised gate and delivery area
- Assist site teams with general logistics and hands-on support where required
- Respond effectively to site incidents or emergencies when needed
- CSCS / GQA / NPORS card
- Confident traffic marshalling experience
- Strong understanding of site operations and material handling
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with site teams
- Reliable, proactive, and able to take ownership of the role
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous storeman or logistics experience
- First Aid at Work certification
- Traffic Marshal certification
