We’re looking for experienced Pipelayers who take pride in precision, quality, and delivering drainage and infrastructure works to the highest standards.
The Role
As a Pipelayer, you will play a key role in the installation and maintenance of drainage systems and underground pipework, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Your Day-to-day Will Include
- Laying and installing drainage pipes (clay, plastic, and concrete)
- Setting out and working to levels and falls from drawings and laser equipment
- Installing manholes, chambers, and associated drainage structures
- Benching, concreting, and surrounding pipework
- Carrying out deep drainage and trench work
- Ensuring correct alignment and gradient of pipelines
- Working closely with machine operators and groundwork teams
- Reading and interpreting drawings and technical specifications
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Essential Requirements
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer in drainage and groundworks
- Strong understanding of drainage systems, levels, and gradients
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good awareness of site health & safety practices
Desirable Skills & Experience
- CPCS / NPORS tickets (CSCS-affiliated)
- Confined Spaces Training
- Deep Drainage experience
- Experience working with laser levels
- Dumper / Roller / Excavator tickets
- 5-10+ years of groundwork or pipelaying experience
- Established gangs or teams with proven ability to work together
