The Role
As a Finisher, you will play a key role in the final stages of groundwork and concrete frame projects, ensuring all elements are completed to specification, on time, and to a high standard of workmanship.
Your Day-to-day Will Include
- Carrying out finishing works to kerbs, edgings, slabs, and concrete surfaces
- Ensuring all external works are completed to line, level, and specification
- Completing snagging and final quality checks on groundwork packages
- Installing and finishing manholes, covers, and frames
- Trowelling, patching, and making good concrete and surfaces
- Working from drawings and setting out details where required
- Supporting groundwork teams to bring projects to completion
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Adhering to all site health & safety standards
Essential Requirements
- CSCS Card (essential)
- Proven experience as a Finisher within groundworks or concrete frame projects
- Strong attention to detail and pride in high‑quality workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Good understanding of levels, alignment, and finishing standards
- Strong awareness of site health & safety
Desirable Skills & Experience
- CPCS / NPORS tickets (CSCS‑affiliated)
- Experience in kerbing, paving, and external finishing works
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques
- Experience using laser levels or setting out equipment
- Dumper / Roller / Excavator tickets
- 5+ years of experience in groundworks or finishing roles
- Established gangs or teams with a strong track record
