We are seeking experienced Formation Works Groundworkers to join our team, specialising in preparation and finishing of formation levels across groundwork and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for operatives with solid experience in formation works who hold Dumper and Roller tickets and take pride in delivering work to a high standard.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out formation works including preparation, levelling, and compaction
  • Operate dumper and roller machinery safely and efficiently
  • Trim and prepare formation levels in line with site specifications and drawings
  • Spread, level, and compact materials to required tolerances
  • Work closely with plant operators and groundwork teams
  • Ensure all work is completed to programme and specification
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Adhere to all site health & safety standards at all times

Essential Requirements

  • Valid CSCS Card (essential)
  • CPCS or NPORS Dumper & Roller tickets (essential)
  • Proven experience in groundworks, specifically formation works
  • Strong understanding of levels, compaction, and site preparation
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and site instructions
  • Good awareness of health & safety on site
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience using laser levels or setting out equipment
  • Additional plant tickets (e.g. excavator)
  • Experience working on large-scale groundwork or civil engineering projects
  • Ability to work as part of an established gang or team
