The Role

As an External Works Groundworker, you’ll be instrumental in delivering and finishing external works to specification, ensuring that drainage, infrastructure, and landscaping tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and with outstanding quality.

Your Day-to-day Will Include

  • Laying slabs, kerbs, edgings, and block paving
  • Road formation and build-up
  • Hard and soft landscaping tasks
  • Completing snagging works to ensure a flawless finish
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and technical documentation

Essential Requirements

  • CSCS Card
  • Proven experience in external works (kerbs, edgings, slabs, block paving)
  • Strong knowledge of materials, specifications, and best practices
  • Confidence in reading technical drawings

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • CPCS/NPORS tickets
  • Experience operating telehandlers, dumpers, or rollers
  • 5-10+ years of skilled groundwork experience
  • Established gangs or teams with proven ability to work together
