We are looking for experienced Skilled Groundworkers to join our team on the Hailsham site. The role focuses on internal drainage works alongside external finishing works including slabs, kerbs, and edgings. You will be expected to deliver high-quality workmanship while maintaining strong safety and productivity standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out internal drainage installation, alterations, and associated remedial works
  • Installing, adjusting, and connecting drainage runs within building plots and internal areas
  • Completing finishing works including slabs, kerbs, edgings, and general reinstatement
  • Preparing bases and sub-bases ready for finishing works
  • Working from drawings, levels, and site instructions to achieve accurate results
  • Supporting site teams to ensure smooth workflow and programme delivery
  • Maintaining clean, tidy, and safe working areas at all times
  • Working safely around plant, services, and active construction areas
  • Following all site health & safety procedures and reporting hazards promptly

Requirements

  • Proven experience in groundworks with a focus on drainage and finishing works
  • Experience in slab laying, kerbing, and edging essential
  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Good understanding of internal drainage systems and installation methods
  • Ability to read drawings and work to levels
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Strong awareness of health & safety on construction sites
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Experience on residential or housing developments
  • Safety Critical Medical (site dependent)
  • Additional plant tickets (dumper/roller)
