We are looking for a hands-on, proactive leader who thrives in a busy site environment and can effectively manage teams, resources, and site operations from start to finish.
The Role
As our Asphalt Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing site operations, leading surfacing teams, and ensuring all asphalt works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. You’ll be responsible for driving productivity while maintaining excellent quality and compliance across projects throughout Kent.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading asphalt gangs and supervising day-to-day site activities
- Ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with RAMS and project specifications
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Delivering toolbox talks and daily safety briefings
- Monitoring quality, productivity, and programme targets
- Liaising with clients, site managers, engineers, and other stakeholders
- Completing site paperwork, daily records, and progress reports
- Promoting a strong health and safety culture across site operations
What You'll Need
- Gold CSCS Card (Supervisor level)
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- Full UK driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Proven experience supervising asphalt or surfacing works
- 5+ years' experience in a similar supervisory role
- Experience working on highways, infrastructure, or civil engineering projects
