Essential Role Requirements

  • Able to dig strip foundations
  • An excellent eye for finished works. For example, top soil, levelling muck, type 1, crush and road formation
  • Capable of lifting and working with trench boxes, manhole boxes, drag boxes, and trench sheets
  • Able to read and understand levels and drawings
  • Acknowledge the need for dig permits before breaking ground
  • Experienced working around live services, and in service avoidance techniques
  • Able to competently carry out daily pre-start plant safety inspections and maintenance checks, and communicate service requirements in good time to the site management team
  • Able to carry out essential greasing, basic maintenance and always keep machines clean and tidy
  • Must be driven to show respect for plant and maintain to a high standard
  • Proactive and able to manage time effectively
Desirable
  • Any experience with or knowledge of GPS machine control would be advantageous
  • Additional CPCS/NPORS* tickets and experienced in operating any of the following; Telehandlers, Dumpers, Rollers
  • 5+ Years experience

  • Reliable & punctual
  • Able to work well with other trades and operatives on site and support the programme delivery on time
  • Right to work in the UK
Cards & Qualifications Required
  • CPCS/NPORS* Excavator +/- 10t Tracked
  • CPCS Lifting Ops/NPORS* Excavator as Crane
  • Safety Critical Medical (Site Specific)
Additional/Desirable Cards & Qualifications
  • CPCS/NPORS* Forward Tipping Dumper
  • CPCS/NPORS* Ride on Roller/Road Roller
  • CPCS/NPORS* Telehandler
  • CPCS/NPORS* Attachments; Quick Hitch
