We are looking for a skilled Engineer to manage setting out, QA and technical coordination on groundwork, infrastructure and/or RC frame projects in Greenwich, London. You will take full responsibility for line and level control and ensure all technical requirements are delivered to programme. We have long-term work available, 10 hours paid per day, competitive rates for suitable candidates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining up-to-date construction drawings and registers
  • Carrying out site surveys and level surveys before site starts
  • Setting out all elements and controlling line and level across the project
  • Checking building layout in relation to site boundaries
  • Taking off and ordering all groundworks and RC frame materials
  • Resolving setting out problems and raising and tracking RFIs
  • QA on site using flow forma and implementing site Inspection Test Plans
  • Raising technical submittals and maintaining as-built records
  • Use of CAD and Leica EDM (TS06/TS12/TS16)
  • Completion of IT induction and training programme within the first 1-3 months
  • Setting out groundworks, earthworks, foundations, drainage, roads, kerbs and external works

REQUIREMENTS

  • CSCS Engineering/Surveying or equivalent qualification
  • Proficient with Leica TS06, TS12 and TS16 EDM
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
  • Right to work in the UK
  • IT literate and proficient in the use of Bluebeam and Autocad
  • Capable of using document management systems
