ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for experienced Skilled Groundworkers to join our teams on a busy project in New Romney. You will be specialised in domestic drainage, working on non-access manholes up to 3m deep and operating within an established gang to deliver high-quality groundworks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installing and setting up manhole boxes for non-access manholes up to 3m deep
- Carrying out domestic drainage installations to correct falls, bed and surround
- Laying and jointing drainage pipes to correct levels and gradients
- Ensuring pipes are tested and laid correctly throughout
- Benching and channelling of non-access manholes to correct specification
- Managing groundwater and setting up the correct pump for the task
- Ensuring correct backfilling of trenches to required compaction
- Working safely around live services using correct service avoidance techniques
- Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections
REQUIREMENTS
- CSCS Groundworker card or similar qualification
- Confined Space ticket
- Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
- CAT & Genny Training
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
- Right to work in the UK
DESIRABLE
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper*
- CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
- Abrasive Wheels Training
- Face Fit Certification
- Harness Awareness Certification
- 5-10+ years of skilled groundworks experience
- Experienced working gangs / teams highly sought after
