We are looking for experienced External Finishers (Temporary) to join our teams on a busy project in Lower Herne. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality external works, ensuring all finishing aspects of groundwork and infrastructure packages are completed to specification, on time, and to an excellent standard. Duration: 2 weeks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carrying out external finishing works including kerbs, edgings, paving, slabs, and concrete surfaces.
- Ensuring all external finishes are completed accurately to line, level, and specification.
- Completing snagging works and conducting final quality checks on external packages.
- Installing, adjusting, and finishing manholes, covers, and frames.
- Trowelling, patching, and making good concrete and finished surfaces.
- Working from drawings and specifications to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Supporting site teams to bring external works to completion.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area.
- Following all site health & safety procedures at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as an External Finisher within groundworks or construction projects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to read and interpret site drawings.
- Good understanding of levels, alignment, and finishing standards.
- Strong awareness of site health & safety.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
- Right to work in the UK.
DESIRABLE
- CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) tickets.
- Experience in kerbing, paving and external finishing works.
- Knowledge of concrete finishing techniques.
- Experience using laser levels or setting out equipment.
- 5+ years of experience in groundworks or finishing roles.
- Established gangs or teams with a strong track record.
