Coinford are looking for experienced Groundworkers, External Finishers and Groundwork Gangs to join our team on a major residential project in Harlow, Essex. We have full time permanent and a 5-week temporary role available focusing on external works, 10 hours paid per day, competitive rates and a steady pipeline of work for the right people. If you take pride in your work, turn up every day and can deliver a high standard of finish, we want to hear from you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Setting up and using trench boxes, drag boxes, manhole boxes and pipe lasers
  • Laying concrete, clay and plastic pipes (all sizes) to correct bed, surround and levels
  • Ensuring pipes are tested and laid correctly throughout
  • Managing groundwater and setting up the correct pump for the task
  • Ensuring correct backfilling of trenches
  • Benching of all manholes
  • External works including kerbs, edgings, slabs and block paving
  • Working safely around live services using correct service avoidance techniques
  • Carrying out daily pre-start plant safety inspections

REQUIREMENTS:

  • CSCS Groundworker card or similar qualification
  • Confined Space ticket
  • Safety Critical Medical (site specific)
  • CAT & Genny Training
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE:

  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Forward Tipping Dumper*
  • CPCS / NPORS* Ride-On Roller
  • Abrasive Wheels Training
  • Face Fit Certification
  • Harness Awareness Certification
  • 5–10+ years of skilled groundworks experience
  • Experienced working gangs / teams highly sought after

* Please note: to comply with client requirements, we can only accept NPORS cards that are CSCS-affiliated and carry the CSCS hologram. If you do not currently meet this requirement, please still get in touch – we are happy to guide you through the transfer process.
