We are seeking an experienced Crane Banksman to join our team on a busy project in South East London. You will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of loads on site, working closely with crane operators and the wider lifting team to ensure all operations are carried out in line with lift plans and to the highest safety standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working strictly to lift plans and lifting procedures at all times
  • Slinging and signalling loads and directing their safe movement
  • Initiating and directing the safe movement of the crane
  • Attaching and detaching loads to and from crane load lifting attachment points
  • Using the correct accessories for lifting and any other equipment required in accordance with the planned operation
  • Experienced working with Peri, Titan and other formwork systems and associated lifting equipment
  • Experienced across a wide variety of lifting operations
  • Effective preparation and management of the landing area
  • Identifying hazards and following health & safety regulations to prevent accidents
  • Proactive and able to manage time effectively to support programme delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Slinger Signaller – All Types, All Duties
  • CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) Slinger Signaller – Suspended Loads
  • Proven experience in a wide variety of lifting operations
  • Strong knowledge of lift plans, lifting procedures and safe systems of work
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well with other trades and operatives on site
  • Right to work in the UK

DESIRABLE

  • Additional CPCS / NPORS (CSCS-affiliated) plant tickets
  • 5+ years of slinger / signaller experience on groundwork or RC frame projects
