We are looking for a Sales and Events Coordinator to join our Commercial team on a Permanent basis.
About the Sales and Events Coordinator role:
The commercial team generates income across our 13-acre site through conferencing, events, exhibitions and commercial property, with our meeting and conference business alone contributing £1.2 million annually. The Conference Sales and Events Coordinator will drive sales and deliver exceptional client experiences at the Coin Street Neighbourhood Centre.
As our new Sales and Events Coordinator, you will:
- Develop long-term relationships with our conference clients.
- Sell, plan, and deliver conferences and meetings.
- Represent our venues at industry and showcase events.
- Support the Business Development Manager in increasing our customer base.
- Offer a positive customer experience to your clients.
- Get involved in wider commercial activities that deliver to Coin Street’s objectives.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following:
- At least two years’ experience in the conferences, meetings, or events sector (or a relevant industry).
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and meet/exceed sales targets.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, databases, and event booking systems.
- Understanding of event planning including layouts, catering, and client liaison.
- Strong communication with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion about delivering commercial success alongside social impact and alignment with Coin Street’s values.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check.
Contract: £31,285 per annum
Equivalent of 35 days annual leave (including Bank holidays), pro rata for part-time staff.
8% contributory pension scheme (5% employer contribution, 3% employee contribution).
