The Deputy Matron will support the Clinical Matron in the delivery of safe, high-quality, efficient clinical services, ensuring a strong ethos of patient centred care through clinical leadership, governance, and workforce development and capability across all service areas. The role requires working 22.5 hours flexibly across the week, with a mixture of hours spent in the office and visiting clinics.

Main duties of the job:

  • The post holder will provide day-to-day operational and professional leadership to clinical teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement in patient care.
  • Facilitate a positive workplace environment where staff development is encouraged and supported.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and organisational standards.
  • The role combines clinical leadership, service oversight and workforce development and governance, acting as a key deputy to the Clinical Matron and providing leadership across services.

Job responsibilities:

As a key member of our clinical team, you will support our teams to deliver a high standard of patient care and administrative duties within community outpatient clinics.
