The Role
We’re looking for a People Insights Data Architect who can shape the analytical backbone of workforce reporting at Coherent. This isn’t a traditional HR reporting role. It’s a hands‑on, high‑impact position for someone who understands data at its core—how it’s structured, how it flows, and how to model it so that insights become scalable, reliable, and genuinely decision‑changing. You’ll partner with business and functional leaders to design the analytical structures that power our workforce intelligence. You’ll build the semantic logic, model effective‑dated HR data, and translate complex people concepts into robust, future‑proof analytical frameworks. If you love architecting data rather than just visualising it, this is the role where your craft will matter.
What you will be doing…
- Design and maintain the analytical data models that underpin workforce reporting and insights.
- Build semantic‑layer logic that enables scalable, repeatable analytics across the organisation.
- Model effective‑dated HR data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and historical traceability.
- Translate HR and business concepts into structured analytical frameworks and dimensional models.
- Partner with leaders to embed data‑driven decision‑making into everyday operations.
- Develop clear, compelling insights and visual stories that highlight trends, drivers, and business impact.
- Automate and optimise reporting pipelines to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
- Champion data quality, governance, and security, ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations.
About You
You’re not just a dashboard builder—you’re a data modeller at heart. You understand how analytical environments work and how to architect data so that insights scale. You bring:
- Strong experience in analytical SQL
- Proven capability in dimensional modelling, star schemas, and semantic‑layer design
- Experience working with effective‑dated HR or workforce data
- Hands‑on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, OAC, FAW, FDI, Alteryx, etc.)
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable stories
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, CPPA, PIPL)
- Experience with Oracle Fusion / OTBI / FDI is a nice‑to‑have, not a requirement
- 5+ years in analytics, data management, or business intelligence
- A degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
Ensure adherence to company’s values (ICARE) in all aspects of your position:
- Integrity – Create an Environment of Trust
- Collaboration – Innovate Through the Sharing of Ideas
- Accountability – Own the Process and the Outcome
- Respect – Recognize the Value in Everyone
- Enthusiasm – Find a Sense of Purpose in Work
